President’s Report – Summary (2024–2025)

The 2024–2025 term represented a period of strong momentum for the Fraser Coast Local Medical Association. Over the past two years, FCLMA has strengthened its community identity, expanded its events calendar, and increased visibility across the Fraser Coast.

Highlights from the report included:

• Growth in membership and online engagement

• Revitalisation of the website, social presence, and event communications

• Highly successful events such as Who’s Who & Who’s New, the Parkrun Takeover, and the Twilight Boat Cruise

• Advocacy achievements including progress on MRI access for Hervey Bay

• Increasing collaboration across GP, hospital, and specialist sectors

• A positive committee culture, reflected in unanimous “very good” or “excellent” satisfaction ratings from the annual committee survey

The report also outlined priorities for 2026, including expanding clinical education, pursuing the ongoing CATH Lab advocacy, and developing more community-focused and family-friendly events.
