On 3 June 2025, the Fraser Coast Local Medical Association (FCLMA) hosted a fully-booked educational evening featuring Professor Bryan Burmeister, who delivered an insightful presentation on the evolving role of radiotherapy in osteoarthritis.

The evening was met with great enthusiasm and sparked lively discussion among attendees, highlighting the growing interest in this innovative application of radiotherapy.

In addition to the educational session, the FCLMA took a moment to formally honour Professor Burmeister for his three decades of outstanding service to radiation oncology, particularly his contributions to the Fraser Coast community. As Professor Burmeister plans to retire later this year, the association presented him with a plaque as a token of our deep appreciation.
