Annual General Meeting — 17 November 2025
The Fraser Coast Local Medical Association held its 2025 Annual General Meeting at The Clubhouse, Hervey Bay Golf Club. The meeting was officially opened by outgoing President Dr Ajith Thampi at 18:36, followed by a well-received sponsor presentation by Jules Davis (Thrive by Design).
The evening continued with the 2024–2025 Presidential Report, highlighting two years of strong momentum, advocacy successes, community visibility, and growing cross-sector engagement. The Treasurer’s Report was presented shortly after, followed by an excellent talk on Voluntary Assisted Dying delivered by Dr Silkie Price and Dr Gareth Davies.
Following the talks, all committee positions were declared open, and nominations were accepted for the 2026 term. The meeting closed at 20:05 after a successful round of elections and acknowledgements.
The AGM reflected a strong year for FCLMA—marked by excellent attendance, valuable discussion, and a shared commitment to improving local healthcare, building community, and advocating for the needs of the Fraser Coast.
