FCLMA Sunset Cruise – A Relaxed Evening of Connection and Community
Sometimes the best professional events are the ones that aren’t about work at all.
Last weekend, members and families of the Fraser Coast Local Medical Association came together for a beautiful sunset cruise — an evening filled with laughter, conversation, and shared moments on the water.
This event was especially meaningful because it responded to something we’ve heard often throughout the year — the wish for more gatherings where families are welcome and everyone can simply relax, connect, and enjoy each other’s company outside the pressures of clinical life.
Despite the week’s unpredictable weather, the evening turned out to be perfect. The skies were stunning, the ocean calm, and the atmosphere joyful. Smiles were everywhere as colleagues and their loved ones enjoyed a peaceful evening together — no CPD points, no formalities, no stress — just good company in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined in and helped make the evening so memorable. Events like this remind us that community connection is just as vital to our wellbeing as professional development.
We hope to bring you more opportunities like this in the future — where doctors and their families can come together, unwind, and celebrate the spirit of the Fraser Coast medical community.
