FCLMA at Parkrun 2025: Walking the Talk on Community Wellbeing 🏃‍♀️🌿

On a morning that began with uncertain skies and busy rosters, members of the Fraser Coast Local Medical Association turned up in true community spirit to support the local parkrun — not just with advice or prescriptions, but with real presence.

From volunteering at timekeeping stations to walking and running alongside other locals, our members showed what it truly means to be community-facing and community-supporting. It was heartening to see such strong participation — not only from our doctors and their families, but also from the broader Fraser Coast community.

This wasn’t just about physical activity — it was about building goodwill, strengthening local connection, and promoting mental and emotional wellbeing through simple acts of encouragement and shared purpose.

A huge thank you to all the FCLMA members who volunteered their time, energy, and enthusiasm to help make the event run smoothly. Your presence was appreciated by both the organizers and the wider parkrun community — and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

We hope this is an ongoing tradition, where FCLMA continues to actively engage in grassroots events like these that make a meaningful difference in our region.
