The FCLMA is the leading healthcare representative body on the Fraser Coast. We offer local medical practitioners the opportunity to engage with a group that promotes advocacy, networking, education and social opportunities for doctors in the region. Formal and informal education and networking functions are held throughout the year, with bi-monthly committee meetings to discuss recent issues facing our medical colleagues across the Fraser Coast.
Our regular newsletters and information about future events or topical issues can be found on our newly enhanced website. There is the opportunity for members and non-members to contribute to our regular newsletter and webiste to advertise their medical services, upcoming employment opportunities, referral networks and recent research or clinical advances. The website allows members to list their specialities, practice and contact details if desired. Members are also able to renew annual membership and reply to upcoming event invitations through the website members’ portal.
We support local medical education for medical students and junior doctors and assist the Junior Medical Society in their advocacy objectives and networking events. Medical students who are training regionally on the Fraser Coast may become honorary members of the FCLMA and regularly attend events that are held throughout the year. The FCLMA committee has medical student and junior doctor representatives who attend our bi-monthly meetings.
